Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response to DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. As well as her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and also for Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
